How to set up the InvGate Service Management Slack integration
Configuration lives under Applications in InvGate Service Management. There is no code involved.
Three steps to turn it on:
- Create the app. In your production Slack workspace, create the Slack app that will connect to InvGate Service Management. Slack provides a bot token and a signing secret, which you'll use in the next step.
- Integrate in InvGate Service Management. Under Applications, configure the Slack integration using the bot token and signing secret from Slack. This is the same pattern used for the Teams and WhatsApp integrations.
- Configure the behavior. Set the greeting and the agent's behavior, exactly as you would for the other channels. Once saved, the VSA is live in Slack.
Required:
- A Slack app. You'll create a dedicated app in your Slack workspace, which is what lets InvGate Service Management send and receive messages in Slack.
- The InvGate AI Service. Your instance needs to be running the InvGate AI Service, since it powers the VSA's routing and its answers.
